These are very nice chairs. They're sturdy and well-made. If there's MDF in them as the description says, I don't know where. They seem like solid wood to me. I've had mine for more than a year and they're perfect for kids. They don't scratch or dent and the finish is very easy to wipe clean. They are fairly white and the "rub through" isn't overly done. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I bought a set of 2 chairs for less than 1 is currently selling for.
