Beechwood 2-Tier Tilt Bookshelf Review

I was looking for a small bookcase to fit at the end of a counter peninsula in my kitchen--for my cookbooks.This bookcase is the perfect size.It came in 7 pieces with screws and a wrench, and only took me 10 minutes to assemble by myself.It is very sturdy.The tilted shelves are a nice touch.The back consists of rails, so I am able to easily access electrical outlets behind the case, yet is has a nice solid top.It looks great in my kitchen.Plus, is very inexpensive.I highly recommend this spacesaver.

Deco Breeze Barbados Standing Floor Fan Review

My husband and I bought this fan as a replacement for one we had in our bedroom, and we have been very pleased with it.We sometimes use it just for the noise factor and the noise level is just perfect (not too quiet and not too loud).We looked online and in stores and chose this brand because of the different choices of finishes instead of just being silver or black or industrial looking.It is made of quality materials, is fairly heavy (sturdy), and has a beautiful paint job.The only downside of the fan is that it does not have a remote control which we were used to with our old fan.We would definitely buy a deco breeze fan again.

I was thrilled to receive these yesterday in the mail.I bought them due to my kids coming home from school and throwing their coats and backpacks on the floor right when they walked in.I put them together in about 3 minutes (everything just screws in together, and is all ready for assembly once you get it).I thought it would be a little more difficult, but to my surprise, it wasnt.I got two of these, one for my sons bedroom, and one for my daughters.They absolutely LOVED them, and I love that they immediately head for their rooms to put their stuff away when they get home!

We bought this to put under our dining table to protect the rug there.Within a month it started to show signs of cracking, and within 3 months (since purchase) it will have to be replaced.The very chairs its designed to sit under were the cause of the cracking.Not nearly as durable as they would have you believe.Save your money.

Atlantic Maxsteel 3010 275 CD/152 DVD/BluRay/Games 5-Tier Media Rack (Black) Review

First of all, I am going to buy another one, so I don't think it is all that bad. But it is advertised as a rack for DVDs, and it wasn't designed well for that. They give you 5 shelves, but it requires an 8 inch space between shelves to hold the semi-standard single DVD (forget a boxed set, which is taller). The posts that hold the shelves are 29 inches long. Let's see...29 divided by 8 per shelf???? Even if you leave the top shelf at the very top of the posts, you end up with 3 tight shelves, 1 on the top that provides no support, and one shelf of 4 inches in height. No problem, you can just lay your remaining DVDs down, right? Nope, they figured that out in advance and made the damn thing a quarter of an in too narrow to allow three stacks. (That's okay, if you lay them down they just fall out the back anyway.(
Still for the price it will hold a lot of DVDs, I'll just have to order another to hold the rest. A couple of tips: The shelves are supported by little plastic clips that the corner of the shelf slips over. If you snap both halves together, they will not slide up and down, even without a shelf on them. The trick is to snap the first half onto the post, and then slide it up or down until you feel/hear the little "click", which means it has found the groove in the post. Then it is easy to snap the other half on at the same height, because they interlock. It will still be fun forcing the shelf down on all four corners to the same height, but then, it's flexible enough not to be an issue. Second, the little wire supports that are meant to keep things from falling over are virtually worthless if you have the shelf fairly full. Save them for the ends of that top shelf that is hanging out in space, to keep the discs on that shelf from toppling off the side of the shelf.
