Making A Rain Barrel: Linon Tasman Collection Media Center Review

I was hesitant to purchase furniture online but after this experience, I'll definitely consider doing it again. This media stand is BEAUTIFUL. It's a darker wood (especially on the bamboo door) than it looks in the picture, and the finish is gorgeous. The detail on the bamboo door is only slightly lighter than the rest of the stand, so my concern about it looking like cheap, yellow-y bamboo was definitely unfounded. The metal bar/handle on the bamboo door is a lovely dark finish, so it doesn't stand out too much. The shelves are adjustable, so we could fit our DVD player, sound system, and cable box in one shelf and DVDs in all the others. Plus, there's a hole at the back for easy wire organization. It really looks like it came from Restoration Hardware or Pottery Barn, not an online discount merchant. My boyfriend put it together in under two hours and it seems very sturdy. He's about 200lbs and could sit on it without any concern, so it can hold a lot of media. Do be sure you have a good Phillip's Head screwdriver for this project. It's a really great steal, I highly recommend it for young, bargain-hungry couples like us!
