Didn't want to break the bank at a fancy furniture store, but also don't care for the cheap plastic furniture made for kids. This is an excellent compromise, particle wood to be sure, but very well made, heavy and sturdy, easy to put together (took me, by myself, about one hour). Drawers aren't the smoothest in opening, but sturdier than most others. Nice finish, packaged extremely well.Gotta love Amazon, free shipping for such a heavy item; this is easily the best price you will find (actually dropped $10 from the $150 I paid for it) anywhere, especially if you consider delivery fees...Thinking of rounding out my daughter's bedroom with the rest of the collection (nightstand, headboard with bookshelves, dresser).
