The welding done on the bed concerns me a little, the welds only go around half the pieces instead of welding the entire pieces together like our old metal bunk bed, so that looks really cheap. The instructions also say only sleep on the bed, no playing around, which could be impossible to follow if this bed is for 2 kids, the instructions also say only one person on top at a time which is another rule that is easy to ignore but I don't because I am a little concerned it may actually break. This bed squeaked a lot, but so did the other one I had. WD-40 works great to get rid of the squeaks. overall it is a decent bed, I don't rough house on it because it does seem like it could start breaking if we did, because of the welds and one of the screws didn't even fit because the holes didn't line up even though I tried very hard to get them to (whoever made the screw hole didn't do it right). but it still works and compared to the futon metal bunk bed I saw at the Futon store that was already bent at an angle it shouldn't have been, this one seems just fine (as long as you don't roughhouse on it, I am not sure it could withstand that)
