This lamp blended in beautifully with the rest of the table/countertop light fixtures throughtout the house (frosted glass, stainless steel finish).It's well constructed and perfectly balanced regardless of the position into which the gooseneck is tilted.The on/off switch is thoughtfully set in the base, making for a stable operation.After shopping the web and almost giving up, this was just what I was looking for!
