The tray is NOT cast iron as desribed. Only the handles are cast iron. The sides are stamped tin. The tray has a cardboard bottom covered in faux leather. No metal bottom. The gold antique finish is only applied to the face of the tray. The outward facing sides of the tray are matte black. The descritpion says the trays can be used to serve. Clearly printed on the bottom of the tray it says do not use for serving. it is for ornamental use only. They are fairly attractive if used for display and are only looking at the top of the tray.
