Being as I planted three packages of cactus all about the same time there maybe some confusion as to seed packages being attached to the correct pot. But so far I have not discovered anything, so I am back to patiently waiting.

CACTUS:Cactus, the common name for a family of desert plants. The plural is cacti or cactuses. Most species bear sharp, needlelike spines, which protect the plants from foraging desert animals. Cacti are famed for their ability to resist drought, which they owe to the fact that moisture from inside the plant evaporates very slowly through the plant's skin.
Cacti grow in hundreds of different shapes. The fibrous, juicy stems may be globular, cylindrical, branched, trailing and vinelike, ribbed, grooved, or knob-bearing. Only two species have true leaves. The rest of the 2,000 species are leafless.

Cactus plants are a joy to grow. A mix of plant types, shapes and heights will provide a unique planting, indoors or outside.
Start seeds inside in pots filled with equal parts of coarse sand and potting soil. Keep warm, moist, and shaded until plants have emerged. When plants are established, transplant to larger pots inside or out. Feed monthly and protect from freezing.
