Kidkraft Nantucket Toybox with Out Cushion Review

This is moderately better than the garbage toybox I bought at a store whose logo is a bullseye.This toybox is attractive, but very, very shallow.It holds almost nothing.The primary reason for this is that it values form over function.The feet add to the height, but detract from the function.It remains low enough for a toddler to easily access; but because it's raised, that directly "steals" the storage volume.

I'm too lazy to disassemble, repackage, and return it.If you are looking for an attractive piece of furniture to match other pieces, buy it.If you're looking for a better toybox without needing to do the woodwork & finishing yourself, skip this.

Dark Cherry Finish Kid's Storage Toy Box Review

This chest looks nice, is good quality (appears to be all solid wood from what I can tell), and is sturdy.I'm not sure if adults should sit on it on a regular basis but I think it could accomodate just about any child.It was also relatively easy to put together (only took me about half an hour WITH my 19 month old son trying to help).It looks great in our entry way and is a nice place to hide toys.It is short (as the description height suggests) and could not accomodate all of a kid's toys, but it can handle most of my son's daily toys he plays with in our living room.

Badger Basket Barrel Top Toy Box Review

When my husband and I were registering for our baby last year, I knew that I wanted a toybox, though I really wasn't crazy about the plastic toyboxes that seemed to be everywhere.There was only one of these wooden toyboxes in the store, and I immediately fell in love with it.True, some of the plastic toyboxes may be a little bigger (and cheaper), but the wooden toybox matched the decor of the baby's room, plus it's very classy, not at all gaudy like some baby items can be.
It's been nine months now, and I still love it.The design is very attractive, and even better, it fits a lot of toys.The toybox has a hinge so the lid won't slam down on tiny fingers. If you look at the picture of the box, you can see there are openings between the lid and the bottom half of the box so if there *were* fingers still on the box if it were closed, fingers wouldn't get stuck (this doesn't apply to the two corners however).Some things that may cause you to reconsider: the box does have sharper corners than a plastic box may have, it is made out of wood after all (the only thing I didn't consider beforehand).However, the finish is smooth.
I've been very happy with this toybox.Hopefully my nine month old will think the same thing once he's older.
