I didn't put it together, but the person who was, did the whole set in a couple hours - so it must've been a pretty easy assembly.The finish?Looks pretty good, and sturdy.I went to the furniture store, and they had dressers for $600 per!I bought this set of three for $500 and honestly, they don't look very much different quality wise.So.. that said.. it's great.The reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is probably because I think they may scratch just a little too easy (be sure to assemble it on carpet) .. Or it could be me, who knows.But I'm pretty satisfied.Looks great in my room.
