I was pleasantly surprised when I got this and saw how well it was packaged, how great the wood looked and how easy it was go put together. I also got the shorter, wider shelf in the same brand. I am happier than I thought I would be with everything about this shelf. One thing though, is that the baskets are not as high quality as I would have liked. They seem a little brittle and "scratchy," not as natural as the gorgeous wood shelves themselves. I just got the shelves a few days ago, so I can't say for sure, but I fear that the baskets might scratch the wood after repeated moving of the baskets. When I pull them in and out, they feel a little scratchy. I love the shelf though, and I can be purchased by itself.
