I researched the many different rain barrels available and became overwhelmed, but kept returning to this one. We were placing it in front of our home and wanted something attractive that would not distract. When it arrived, I was taken back by the color - it is definitely a brown sandstone rather than a gray that is pictured; however, it blends well with our new rock xeriscaping and I am pleased. Easy to install/set-up. The only problem we had was attaching a new flex spout to our existing downspout. Although the same size, the configuration was different and it took many choice words before we got it on and secure. How does it work? EXACTLY like you want. It is wonderful... We added a bilge hose to the overflow valve and that waters an extra plant. Easy to use and we will probably purchase another one for the back yard. Please note - the hose attachment on the bottom is in the FRONT not in the back - an annoyance, but not enough to make a big difference.
