The chair arrived promptly and was fairly simple to put together and the seat cushion is fairly substantial. The Pneumatic gas lift works fine as well but that's the end of the good points.
The product description says there's an adjustable tilt tension knob (which there is) only thing is the chair doesn't tilt. The high back would be nice IF it actually supported your back, but the curvature of the back of the chair is designed that it doesn't even come close to your back (when sitting up straight). You must be leaning back to come in contact with the back of the chair and leaning even further back to have your head be supported by the top of the chair. I don't know about most people but I don't usually 'lay down' when trying to 'sit' at my desk and work.I'm disappointed that I spent such a large sum on such a poor quality chair, especially when what I was most looking for was support for my back as I do a lot of computer work at my desk.

It is a beautiful, comfortable chair that was so easy to assemble.The only problem is when I took it out of the box, I noticed on the arm, the finish was scratched in a very prominent spot.It was very disappointing.But, unfortunately, something I would learn to live with.
