Contemporary Black Storage Cedar Hope Chest with Lift-Up Top Review

This is the first time I have ever been compelled to submit a review for a product. I had high hopes for what looked like a beautiful chest. Unfortunately, it is poorly manufactured junk. When I tried to put this chest together, I discovered the wood was warped, the cam holes were misaligned, and the pieces would not fit flush. The holes drilled for the cam bolts are bored too large so the pieces will not fit and two cam pieces broke during construction. I finally gave up, went to the hardware store and purchased wood screws, wood glue, and angle braces and constructed it with those. Don't buy this product if you expect quality--or, at least, if you don't mind the extra work needed to construct a working chest. This is a poor excuse for a product from a company who claims they deal in 'fine furniture.'

Carved Leaf Accents Oak Cedar Wood Chest in Southwestern Intricate Base Style Review

Don't go near this if you don't know how to put things together.It's a nice piece of furniture, but it comes completely disassembled and the directions for putting it together assume that you have some knowledge of carpentry.There are numerous pieces beyond screws and dowels and the directions are not clear.The pictures are so blurry that you can't see how the screws and dowels position---never mind trying to figure out how a cam-bolt and cam-lock work!If I ever get it together, I'll write a review on the finished product.
