55 Gallon Water Storage Barrel Review

This product only comes with the barrelyou have to buy the pump to get the water out . I ordered 2 barrels and one of them was missing a cap. On day two of my trip the pump stopped working and I could not get any water out of the barrel!!!!!

The company sent me a cap right away and charged me for the pump. I feel the picture is misleading because to me I thought the pump came with the barrel and it almost looks like it is attached to the barrel in the picture. I guess it doesn't matter if you have the pump or not because it doesn't work (or at least the one that was sent to me did not work)! I still have not been mailed an invoice for the pump and it has been over 2 months. The staff I spoke with was hard to get ahold of at first but they were very friendly once I contacted them.

AquaSaver Gravity Rainwater Recovery System Review

The Algreen water barrels are pretty well-liked Canadian products, not cheap, but also well-made and reasonably aesthetic (unlike many of the repurposed 55 gallon drums out there). This kit includes the parts needed to hook up to the drainage off of a roof. Should be easy enough to adapt this kit for other rain barrels. Depending on your setup, you might be better off financially with parts from your local hardware store though.

Rainreserve 2012309 Rain Barrel Basic Rain Diverter (Barrel Not Included) Review

I've been using two of these units for a couple of months now. They replaced two Rain Saver diverters that basically fell apart after two years. I like that this system is made from sturdy plastic and large diameter hoses. I especially like the fact that the overflow output on the bottom is the same size as the input on the top. This prevents the problem I had with the Rain Saver models where the diverter would become a bottle neck during downpours and water would leak out the top of the diverter and run down the side of the house. Time will tell whether or not this new unit will hold up to the elements, but my initial impression is that it is better built than the Rain Savers I replaced. It doesn't feel cheap and flimsy.
