BluRay Nestable 42 Review

This Blu-Ray rack is just that... a Blu-Ray rack. Unlike many of the other racks that I bought, this one actually fits Blu-Rays without them sliding around and looking unkempt. It doesn't hold DVD's, and that's a good thing. I like the color of it, but I can see some fashion-minded folks having problems with the blue scheme. Just keep in mind... it's going to be blue anyway, because the cases are blue - so I don't have an issue with that.

As far as functionality... This is a near-perfect fit for Blu-Rays. I say near-perfect because there is one that will not fit perfectly (though it will fit). This is my Planet Earth case. The reason for this is that there are five or six discs in this case, which makes it approximately the size of a PS3 game case (maybe a little smaller - just by a smidgen). It is a tight squeeze, but it WILL fit. This brings me to the next point. PS3 game cases are an even TIGHTER fit, and therefore I cannot say that they will fit correctly. This accounts for the missing star in the rating. It would be too much of a hassle getting them in and out. For Blu-Rays, though, perfect. I really wouldn't hold the PS3 thing against this rack, because they are made larger than Blu-Ray, and this holds the movies very comfortably.

As far as stability... This thing is very stable for me on a hardwood floor. I don't have carpet in my house, but this is far more stable than a gunmetal DVD/Blu-Ray stand that I bought Atlantic Nestable 63712035 52 DVD/BluRay Games Tower (Gunmetal), so I figure it will do well on carpet. Also, the Atlantic one doesn't hole the Blu-Ray correctly. They slide around, and when my dog's tail brushes them, they sometimes fall out. This one doesn't have that issue.

I like this stand. My only quibble is that I ran out of space and need to buy another one. There's and eighty-something movie stand that I may try next, just so I don't have to have two stands side-by-side, but this is a great Blu-Ray rack, and I recommend it.

These racks look really nice.However the normal packaged BR hardly fit into the slots. do not even try to fit the ones with some cardboard packaging. I wish I had kept the packaging material so I could have returned them!

Atlantic Nestable 63712035 52 DVD/BluRay Games Tower (Gunmetal) Review

This DVD tower by Atlantic holds 52 DVDs or Blu-Ray Disc DVDs in their cases. It is compact and although it's not exactly haute couture it's certainly no eyesore either. I use this rack to store DVDs and a couple of movies on Blu-Ray someone gave me without knowing I don't have Blu-Ray yet. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the way this inexpensive tower storage rack holds these DVDs and Blu-Rays.

Another wonderful feature of this DVD storage tower is that it can be stored just about anywhere, too--at roughly 3 ½ feet high this storage tower is compact while doing the job of storing your DVDs and Blu-Ray Discs in an orderly and presentable fashion.

The tower is constructed of very durable gunmetal. Gunmetal is not exactly high fashion but at this price it's tough to complain; and this storage tower should last you quite a while anyway.

I must say that the only negative thing I notice is that the DVD cases often slide to one side or the other as they rest in their slots in this storage tower. Unless you are rather careful the DVDs eventually look a bit disorderly; but this is a minor complaint and it may not bother you. In addition, I do have carpet but it's very short and flat so my storage tower doesn't topple over like some others have when placed on carpet. I would recommend that you place this on an uncarpeted floor unless you have a very short carpet like mine; with a short carpet this storage tower will probably stand straight without falling.

Overall, if you want an affordable, good quality way to store your DVDs and Blu-Ray Discs, this storage tower by Atlantic is the way to go. I highly recommend this for people with smaller DVD and Blu-Ray Disc collections.
